1. Statement of Purpose

The licensor wishes to allow every person to freely copy, distribute, display, perform, and transform the licensed material, provided that such use is carried out entirely by a Human and not by any AI-driven or automated system.
The licensor hereby relinquishes all copyright and related rights in the licensed material for human-only use, and grants a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to the public for such use. The licence does not allow the material to be used by, or processed by, any AI, non-human system, robot, bot, crawler, scraper, or similar automated agent.

2. Definitions

• Human – A natural person, any individual human being. No computer, robot, bot, crawler, scraper, or other non-human entity is a Human.
• AI / Non‑Human System – any artificial intelligence (AI), synthetic intelligence, cybernetic intelligence, software program, script, algorithm, model, or automated process that, without continuous direct Human supervision, is capable of reading, transforming, reproducing, or otherwise manipulating the Licensed Material in a way that a person could also perform manually. This includes, but is not limited to, neural-network models, generative-AI tools, recommendation engines, inference engines, reinforcement-learning agents, MPC protocols, zero-knowledge proof systems, distributed-ledger agents, and any future technology that carries out the functions of the Licensed Material.
• Robot / Bot / Crawler / Scraper – Any software or script that accesses the licensed material automatically without direct, continuous human supervision.
• Human-Only Use – Any activity performed entirely by a Human, without assistance from any AI, robot, or bot.
• Adapted Material – Any material that is derived from or based upon the licensed material and incorporates the licensed material in a manner that would normally require copyright permission.
• Adapter's Licence – The licence that a Human must apply to any Human-Only derivative so that the derivative remains compatible with AI0. The Adapter's Licence must be a public-domain licence or otherwise not restrict downstream recipients from complying with §3.
• Produced Work – A work (image, text, audio, video, etc.) created by using the licensed material in a Human-Only way.
• Convey – To distribute, communicate, display, or otherwise make the licensed material, an Adapted Material, or a Produced Work available to the public.
• Publicly – To any person other than you or under your direct control.

3. Waiver

To the extent permitted by law, the licensor waives all copyright and related rights in the licensed material for use by a Human only:

• The licensor grants the public a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence only when the licence is exercised by a Human and without any assistance from an AI, non-human system, robot, or bot.

The licensor retains no rights to require or enforce AI use. The waiver is irrevocable, unconditional, and permanent for the lifetime of the applicable rights.

No part of this licence permits the licensed material to be used by, or processed by, any AI, non-human system, robot, bot, crawler, or scraper. All such uses are expressly prohibited.

4. Public-License Fallback

If any part of the waiver is deemed invalid or ineffective under applicable law, the following remains in effect:

• The licensor grants a public-domain-style licence to the public for human-only use of the licensed material, under the same terms as §3 (i.e., for use by a Human without AI or automated assistance).
• Use by any AI or non-human system remains prohibited, even if the waiver fails.

5. Moral-Rights Waiver

The licensor waives, to the extent possible, all moral rights that may exist in the licensed material. If a waiver is not possible, the licensor will not assert moral rights in a manner that would prejudice the licensor's honour or reputation.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The licensed material is provided as-is, without any warranty of any kind. The licensor disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of title, non-infringement, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

The licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any use of the licensed material, except where liability may not be excluded by law, in which case it is limited to direct financial loss caused by proven negligence.

7. Termination

• The licence terminates automatically if the user violates any provision of this licence.
• A user who has received the licensed material under this licence retains their licence so long as they remain in compliance.
• If the user ceases the breach, the licence will be reinstated automatically after 60 days, subject to the licensor's reasonable notice.

8. General

• Severability – If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
• Entire Agreement – This licence constitutes the entire agreement regarding the licensed material.
• Choice of Law – The licence is governed by the law of the jurisdiction where the licence is enforced.
• No Enforcement by Humans – Humans Commons is not a party to this licence and has no duty to enforce it.

Notice for Use

"This work contains material licensed under the AI0 License (AI0-1.0)."

This notice must be included in any publicly used or distributed version of the material, or in any derived or produced work.
